First blogVENTion

I've decided to make this blog to use as an outlet for myself to vent from the daily struggles of a student in nursing school as well as the idiocies I deal with on a constant basis.

So fortunately for me, I passed my first semester of nursing school. Since being busy with school, I had no time for other peoples stupid ideas or issues that could have been dealt with over coffee. But since school ended, that when the drama started. It's like the end of a novel with a great ending. Then the sequel throws everything in disarray. The main character dies because his best bud chooses a girl he met over him. Little does the friend know that the girl he just met staged the everything so the main dies. The ending is horrible and the series becomes a straight-to-dvd movie.

I became really close with a few people this year. I thought everything was going really great. No drama. No worries...aside from passing classes. But it was towards the beginning of the semester where I should have noticed everything was on a downhill slope. It all began with teasing about two friends (lets call them Mira and Stan) of mine being a couple. Mira was smart but still emotionally healing from a previous relationship. She was top of her class in high school. Academics were her forte. Love, on the other-hand, seemed to wrong her each time. Stan, not as smart as Mira, just ended a long-term relationship of a few years because the ex did the nasty with another fellow. The teasing was all instigated by Brian, whom I considered neither book-smart or street-smart (basically he's like 8 year old who can legally go to bars). While this teasing was happening, Mira never truly admitted that she really did like Stan but because of the teasing, she was thwarted in acting upon it. Mira's best friend, Elsa, contributed to the teasing as well. But as much as she teased, she also pushed for the two to get together. Hell pretty much any guy that Mira had a thought about Elsa was there to push for it. But how quickly things changed when Mira closed herself off to Stan. The relationship dramatically changed between the two. From friends who shared inside jokes to just the borderline between friend and acquaintance, the relationship became strained. It was during this time that Elsa was having troubles of her own. Her relationship with Brian's brother, Brad, was on the rocks. Constantly fighting here and there and there was no end to it. Few weeks later, the relationship ended. This is where everything begins to fall into place to where it is now. As Mira had closed herself off to Stan, Elsa also had a say that maybe it wasn't right for Mira and Stan to be together. Elsa and Stan got closer. Mira and Stan were stuck at square one, no moving forward to back, just stuck there. It became evident to everyone within the nursing program that something was happening between Elsa and Stan. They were asked constantly if they were dating. Little did their inner circle of friends know, they truly did like each other. Mira built up this anger toward Elsa about how everything was handled. Why was it okay for people to judge and tease if Mira and Stan got together but not for Elsa and Stan? Why was that? This question circulated through Mira's head here and back again. True it wasn't fair that this judgment was only upon her but it also was't fair that Elsa had said that Mira shouldn't get with Stan only for her to get with him.

So this is where it's all up in the air. Only time will tell what is yet to come.

Till then,
Best Wishes
